President's Message

It is an honor and a pleasure to serve as the 2007-2008 Hockessin-Greenville Rotary Club president.  It is somewhat intimidating to be president of an organization as dedicated and talented as the Hockessin-Greenville Club.  The depth of talent is inspiring and the accomplishments of the Club impressive.  It is my goal to keep that energy engaged and continue to support the many efforts of the Club.  I know I can count on the members to make my term in office a success as we work together to serve the needs of the community.

I am committed to the Rotary pledge “Service Above Self’ and know that you cannot do well unless you do good.  Therefore, I will set my goals in that direction and ask that each member help me obtain those goals.  I will leave you with this thought:

LAW OF THE JUNGLE

Every morning in Africa a gazelle wakes up.  It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed.  Every morning a lion wakes up.  It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve to death.  It doesn’t matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle.  When the sun comes up you had better be running.
                                                                                    -Unknown-

Thanks!
